Ecom Spider is the trading name of ECOM SPIDER LLC, a limited liability company
registered in the State of Wyoming, United States. We provide e-commerce services to
direct-to-consumer brands: storefront engineering, paid acquisition, measurement, and
one-to-one advisory for the operators running them.
Why we exist
Most brands buy three vendors and inherit the seams between them.
A design studio builds the store. A media buyer runs the ads. Somebody else, often
nobody, is responsible for whether the numbers in the ad platform bear any
relationship to the orders in the back office.
When performance drops, each vendor has a defensible explanation that points at the
other two. The brand is left holding a coordination problem it never intended to buy.
We built Ecom Spider to sell those functions together, under one scope and one
accountable team, so that the person who spent the money is the same person who has
to explain what it produced.
How we work
Small on purpose.
We take a limited number of engagements at a time. The work involves direct access to
a client's storefront, ad accounts and financial data, and that is not something to
hand to a rotating bench of junior staff.
Every engagement is worked by the person who ran the audit. There is no handover from
the people who sold the work to the people who deliver it, because there is no
separate sales team.
We work remotely with brands across Latin America, Spain and the United States, in
English and Spanish.
Leadership
Who runs it
Frank Hodson
Founder & Managing Member
Frank spent seven years in live event production before moving into e-commerce, where
he has operated direct-to-consumer stores across Latin American and United States
markets. He works hands-on across all four service lines, and runs a one-to-one
advisory programme for Spanish-speaking e-commerce operators.
The frameworks Ecom Spider brings to client engagements were developed and paid for on
stores he operates himself.

Security & compliance
What we can actually attest to
Plenty of agency websites display certification badges they do not hold. Here is the
honest version of our security posture, stated precisely enough that you can verify it.
Encrypted in transit
This website and all forms on it are served over TLS. Enquiry data submitted through
our contact form is transmitted encrypted.
GDPR-aligned data handling
We collect only the data needed to respond to an enquiry or deliver an engagement,
state our lawful basis and retention periods, and honour access, correction and
deletion requests. See our Privacy Policy.
PCI DSS at the platform layer
The stores we build run on Shopify, which is certified PCI DSS Level 1. That
certification is Shopify's, not ours. We never handle, store or transmit your
customers' cardholder data.
Least-privilege access
We request the minimum permission level needed for the work, use named collaborator
accounts rather than shared logins, and access is revoked at the end of an engagement.
Your assets stay yours
Ad accounts, pixels, themes, domains and documentation are created in your name and
remain under your ownership and control after the engagement ends.
No third-party tracking here
This website runs no advertising pixels, no analytics cookies and no third-party
trackers, which is why you were not asked to dismiss a cookie banner.
We do not hold SOC 2 or PCI DSS certification in our own name, and we do not claim to.
Any vendor telling you otherwise about themselves is worth a second look.
